WaistMeasure around waist over shirt (not pants) at the height you normally wear your pants. Keep one finger between the tape and body. HipMeasure in a straight line around the fullest/widest part of the hips. InseamWear shoes and have someone measure inside leg from center crotch to the length you prefer; or, measure the inner length of a pair of pants you already own. RiseAlthough the rise is not a measurement you will need to take to determine fit, it does however describe how high the jeans come up on your stomach. The total rise is measured in a straight line from the top edge of the waist to the inseam.
