The "rise" of a pair of jeans is measured from the center of the crotch, up to the top of the jeans in front. In terms of what qualifies as regular "low rise" versus "super low rise," there is not a single number (such as 5", 6", 7", or 8" rise). This is due to the fact that as the jeans size get larger, so does the rise; so for example, for a jean size 0/1 a rise of 5" may look the same on someone, as a 7" rise would look on another person who wears size 7/8. A good rule of thumb is to look at how much of the persons waist, or hips, are showing in the pictures. Also known as extreme low rise jeans. |
